Road Trip with Club Scrap

Hello everyone out there! Today I would like to share with you a layout I did using Club Scrap Creative License kit!

This photo brought me back to the time when my parents had the convertible. All 6 of us would pile into the car and go for ride to see my grandparents house who lived about an hour away. I loved feeling the breeze going through my hair and my brothers in the back fighting with each other over space in the back seat.

The first thing I did was take the gold paper with the keys and using Distress spray and leftover gears I made from my last project and sprayed the paper in spots. It doesn't really show up too good here but it did work out great. Then I took bubble paper and blotted the paper in a couple of spots.

The tags are all from Club Scrap as well. I sprayed them with the distress spray, stamped and distressed them a little with gold and black ink. Add some Tim Holtz Reinforcers and tied on some string. I layered them at the top of the photo. Added some of the leftover gear parts to fill the spaces.

Since I used the gears to distress the paper the ink went on the gears which gave them a different rustic look from the ones I did previous... these are the ones I last week for the Club Scrap Team Artist challenge.

Then adding the distress spray gave them even a more rustic look. I combined a toy Erector piece with the gears and the bottle top from the kit.
By the way I did something really cool with the brads. I used this technique before. Take a semi sharp object and a hammer and bang on the brads. I used an eyelet setter piece, see picture below
