Literature kit from Club Scrap and Stuck Sketches

Here is a layout I did using the Club Scrap Literature kit. I wanted to try to do something different by not using it for something to do with reading. I found this sketch from Stuck Sketches and thought it would be perfect for this trip to Tom Sawyer Island. Oops...Tom Sawyer was a book! The sheet of paper with the map and compass on it really gave me the inspiration.

Here is the kit! Lots of yummy goodies!

Here is the sketch I used for inspiration.

The canvas banner I added some twine and some alpha letters from the title. I also love the cute little envelopes included in the kit.

I hand stitched the border with the twine from the kit. The wooden stars and arrow I actually made last year by using chipboard shapes and bark that fell from a tree. This was painstakingly hard, as the bark kept breaking and I made about 20 stars before I got a few that stayed. But I do like the way they turned out. I might have to try to do this again sometime but use a different method.

Thanks for stopping by
