Here it is!!!
Finally after 30 years of a tiny bathroom, and I have a beautiful new bathroom. Construction started August 10th and finally finished today Oct 3rd. The reason it took so long was tile delays, more on that later.
After months of researching everything detail of the bathroom, I was ready to get a contractor in here. The hardest thing for me to find was the tile. When I saw this bathroom on Houzz I fell in love with the colors and the style.
But I found it impossible to find the tile or the red hex flooring, so I started researching craftsman style and ended up with something unique! So here goes.
We could almost take a shower while sitting on the toilet!
I have to give so much thanks to our contractor Kohl Construction of Temple, PA. He worked with me every step of the way and gave some good ideas. We absolutely love everything!
Here's the progress....Day one - demolition!
The first and best idea John gave us was to move the wall out 3 feet into the scrapbook room. He wanted to get rid of the door as well but I was dead set against it. I was so use to having two doors in the bathroom. But in the picture above that wall was where our tub was going to be. Lots of rotting wood and unexpected pipes in the wall. The pipes in the wall ended up the final straw in the decision to get rid of the second door. Wise move!!
Day two - New studs going in, looks so much bigger in the bathroom already!
Day three- New tub and new problem, very rotten wood under the toilet!
Day four and five
Exhaust fan in, drywall installed
Day 6 and 7 drywall completed, and walls painted. New lighting, shower fixtures and redneck shower surround installed~ Plastic and tape - So for several weeks we dealt with the plastic! We found out the tiles won't be delivered until Sept 18th (more like September 29th!)
Day 8 and 9
Cabinet installed, new flooring.
But best of all the woodwork, craftsman style! Love the stain color as well.
Now to wait for the tile to come in.How do you like my redneck curtains! A piece of plywood to cover the windows until I get some window treatment. How do you like my redneck curtains! A piece of plywood to cover the windows until I get some window treatment.

Worth the wait!!!!!!!
