Club Scrap Dahila Kit Blog Hop

Hi, and welcome to the Dahlia Kit Blog Hop from Club Scrap. You should have came here from the amazing Lisa's blog and mine is the last on your journey. Today I made two layouts using the Dahlia kit, I absolutely LOVE the colors in this so bright and cheery! But first let me show you all you get in the kit.

Here is my first layout.

The cardboard tag and ribbon are included in the kit. I added some Teresa Collins spray to give it a little color. Found the A+ chipboard in my stash and painted that white.

In the border I used a hole puncher and threaded the ribbon through the border and the felt flowers

This color resist paper is also included in the kit, just use your favorite sprays and mist away, wiping the excesss of the resist part with a tissue or paper towel. I used hot pink, yellow and where they blended together it made the orange.

My second layout is of my son and his family. I cut a vine from the my die cut machine and a while back I made the gate out of grunge board. I love grunge board but it ruins the blade in the Silhouette. I dug out my sewing machine and ran two lines of thread around the pattermed paper. I also folded over the corner and cut out some Club Scrap silk flowers to put behind it.

Close-up of the Club Scrap silk flowers, I put a little bit of tape on the flower and folded them, and added the pearl strings from Club Scrap inside the flowers.

To make the envelope which holds a journaling card inside, I used a glassine envelope from Club Scrap. Embossed it and ran some Alcohol ink on the embossed part. Added the metal charm, some silk flowers, twine and MME tiny words.

These are beautiful pages, Donna! I really like the idea of running the ribbon through simple punched holes. Why didn't I think of that? Thanks for the inspiration!
