You should have come here from Club Scrap and did you see how wonderful Karen's project is?
Today I would like to show you how I made some faux metal elements using the silver paper that is included in the kit. But first here is the layout I made of my son on his first day of driving (me crazy!).
This is how I made my gears that I used for a border. First I took a piece of the shiny silver paper and spritized it with water.
Then I used a paint brush and dabbed the pearls to mixed them and blend them.
Take a blow dryer and when it is dry, repeat the process but this time only spritz it with water, and sprinkle the Perfect Pearls over the paper, and dry. By not blending with the brush this time, it gave it more texture.
Using the Silhouette Cameo I cut out a bunch of gears. Here is a closeup of the gears, on some of them I added a brad in the center.
Here are some of the embellishments for the kit, the top is a key and chain, the middle one is a bottle cap with some a wheel from the paper.
Your next stop is the very creative Lisa's blog!
