Club Scrap Blog Hop March

Hello and Welcome! You should have come here from Lisa's blog, didn't she do a fantastic job? Today I made this layout using the Delft Lite Kit from Club Scrap.

Here are all the goodies you get in the Lite Kit!

The other week we got a rare March snow storm that shut us down for the day, and I went on a  "Pinterest' flower making craze. I made tons of fabric and ribbon flowers in two days. This one I made using the blue Delft lite ribbon  (bottom left) was made using this Pinterest pin . This flower literally took me about 3 minutes, so easy!  The white one was ribbon (top left) that I simply glued on a round piece of cardstock, and added another ribbon in the center . The flower on the right was made using fabric using this Pin. These were pretty easy as well.

All of them have the Delft Embellishment Pack Cabochons in the center. I have never heard of cabochons until I received these in the kit. They are glass embellishments and are perfect for flower centers, so pretty!

I will try to explain how I made the ribbon border. First thing is to run a thread across the top of a piece of ribbon. Since the layout is 12x12 I double that length using 24 inches. Better to have too much than not enough. If you want it really ruffled you would have to make it longer.

Next I pulled the thread to bunch it up.

Working a little at a time, I used the glue along the paper border, carefully smoothing out the ruffle as I go across.

Here is how it looked when glued onto the layout.

Next stop the fabulous Kelly!!

What a fun page - those flowers are so pretty - they add such a nice touch as does the fancy ribbon border. I'd say this is a Pinterest success!! TFS!
