Mixing it up with Quick Quotes

Todays project is all about mixing up different lines of paper. This is great if you have pieces from different lines and with Quick Quotes it is so easy to do. My original intent was to do a heritage page with Cracklin Rose and Cherry Truffle, but when I came to Quick Quotes line called Pattern Paper and Be Bold, I completely changed my thinking and went with a school theme layout, and this is what I came up with.

Hello scrappy friends, Today I made this vintage layout using Quick Quotes Cracklin Rose papers. I wanted to make some sort of "curtain" so I saw this idea on Pinterest. What I did scored the paper the same way you would for flower rosettes. For my curtain I scored it five times down the side of the paper. And I inked the edges for a more dramatic effect. Also in order to add the embellishment in the middle I had to cut away the paper. Of course if I would have made me score lines closer together (I used 1/2 inch) I think I could have layed the embellishment right on top. But either way works. I used the Cricut to cut out faux doilies when I used around under the curtain. I have tons of vintage embellishments so layering them with Quick Quotes stickers and chipboard, helped bring it all together. I found a paper clip in my stash which said Girls and I inked it with Stayonz it to make it black. All other items I used Quick Quotes powderpuff inks.
